Trauma Services Unit

The Trauma Services Unit of the District Attorney’s Office provides 24-hour comprehensive assistance to victims of violent crime. Under the supervision of District Attorney Mark Powell, the Unit provides direct services to victims, consults with law enforcement officers regarding specific cases and needs, assists law enforcement with death notifications, and provides ongoing support for victims and co-victims.

The Trauma Services Unit strives to lessen the negative impacts of crime and violence by helping those who are affected to understand and process the trauma they are experiencing, find new ways of coping, and move toward healing.

These services are free and confidential.
